2023 Cygnus Pinot Gris
Limit: 6 Up to Bottles
Cygnus is 100% Pinot Gris from vines planted in our St. Andrew’s Vineyard in Oak Knoll District in southeastern Napa in the 1990s. The wine is fermented on its skins and raised in clay amphorae. The long, cool 2023 vintage imbued the wine with freshness and depth, with citrus and stone fruit aromas making it beautiful on its own or with food.
2023 Artist Series Cabernet Sauvignon
Limit: Up to 6 Bottles
The 2023 Artist Series is a single-vineyard wine, a selection of six of Winemaker Reid Griggs’ favorite barrels from Quartz Creek Vineyard in western Oak Knoll District. This site is planted to an alluvial fan that has been washed down and deposited by millennia of rainfall from the Mayacamas mountains immediately to the west. The well-drained soils provide classic conditions for great Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon.
This year’s wine is an homage to the great Cabernet Sauvignon-dominant wines of the world that include a large percentage of Syrah, like Domaine de Trévallon from Les-Baux-de-Provence.
Selected from the blocks with the highest gravel content in Quartz Creek, the wine is at once structured and fresh with mouthwatering acidity, a persistent finish, and aromatic complexity that will continue to develop for many years.
