Burgess Cellars 1992 Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley, 750ml

This vintage was one of the finest of the decade.  The winter was drier than normal, which caused the vines to have early budbreak and set the pattern for an early harvest. Our Cabernet benefited from the vintage conditions and some refinements used at the winery. The resulting wine has a very concentrated aroma of mature fruit and new French oak.  The flavors are multi-layered  and demonstrate berry-like cassis with a rich long lingering finish.  This wine will complement most foods, especially spicier style dishes as the mountain-grown fruit also has a spicy quality.
