Fruit notes include black cherry and blackberry, with mercifully subtle oak and nice little accents of mint and dried herbs. Description:
The vintage of 2001 was harvested earlier than normal, though our hillside vineyard normally reaches full maturity due to budbreak occurring about two weeks earlier than the alley floor. The aroma and flavor of the 2001Cabernet Sauvignon is magnified by the ideal ripening conditions, which occurred for this vintage. The finish is also extensive which comes from the vintage and our mountain vineyards. This wine will complement foods of robust style and will continue to develop with proper aging.

Interesting facts:
This wine was produced from a very unique mountainside vineyard. The vines were replanted in the 70’s and now show a high level of maturity and consistency. This is further enhanced by the western facing location. We use the most modern fermentation concept of horizontal rotary fermentors to extract all the positive components and manage tannin extraction.
